The Enhance Pioneer Boulevard Workshop Series is a community outreach and visioning process that will create a plan to guide the future of south Pioneer Boulevard from 186th Street to the South city limit!

The Enhance Pioneer Boulevard Workshop Series will be a series of workshops that provides a community forum to shape the future of Pioneer Blvd between 183rd Street and the south city limit. The vision developed from these workshops will shape land use recommendations for retail uses, propose community improvements, and result in design and development recommendation that will express the unique identity of this area.

The workshops will give community members the opportunity to drive the plan, and to provide feedback as the plan develops.

Workshop #1
Will introduce the community members to the project area, give feedback regarding their likes and dislikes, introduce them to various corridor enhancement approaches, and begin to prioritize the amenities and enhancements they would like to see incorporated into the project area.

Workshop #2
Workshop #2 will engage community members and workshop participants towards the development of a common vision for the project area, development framework, and refining the community’s vision.

Project Team
The most important members of the project team are the neighborhood residents and business owners that participate or live in the study area.

This project is a city sponsored project lead by a consultant team comprised of a collection of professional city planners and community designers from the Southern California based planning firms of Urban Futures, Inc, and Hogle-Ireland, Inc.

Upon conclusion of the workshops, the consultant team will be taking input received from the meeting and developing a development recommendation report submitted to the City Council, which will convey the community’s vision and guide the use, character and design of pending development within the project area.

Please continue to check this website for periodic updates regarding the status of the planning effort. A variety of methods (website, postcards, posters, etc.) will be used throughout the planning process to alert people about the creation of a draft recommendation document.
